Accounts payable technician

We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Technician to complete our finance team in the Montreal office.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Controller, as our Accounts Payable Technician you will play a central role in the team, with a mandate to carry out the day-to-day tasks related to the company's accounting operations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check invoices and obtaining the necessary approvals
• Code and recording invoices in the ERP system
• Reconciliation of supplier statements in collaboration with the purchasing department
• Preparation of payments to suppliers in accordance with payment terms
• Manage supplier communication
• Bank reconciliations
• Verification and input of employee expense reports
• Participate in accounts payable process improvement projects
• Any other related tasks to help the Finance Department run smoothly

SKILLS REQUIRED

• College degree in accounting (AEC or technique) or other relevant discipline
• Experience in a similar position is an asset
• Bilingualism: fluency in French and English are required as suppliers are international
• Autonomy, team spirit, attention to detail and strong ability to prioritize
• Ability to work with an ERP accounting system
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central ERP (formerly NAV), an asset
