Riding Out of the Ordinary: Our Four-Year Partnership with Roskilde Jr.

From 2021-2024, Argon 18 has been proud to support Team NPV Carl Ras Roskilde Junior, a partnership that has seen Argon 18 bikes ridden by some of cycling’s top development athletes. The team was founded 15 years ago to provide elite racing opportunities for young riders in Denmark, and has grown to be one of the world’s foremost junior teams and the home of future champions.

The team boasts alumni such as former Elite Road World Champion Mads Pedersen; World and Olympic champions on the track, Lasse Norman Hansen, Julius Johansen, and Frederik Rodenberg; Junior Road World Champion Jacob Egholm; Junior ITT World Champion Mikkel Bjerg; Patrick Frydkjær, now at Lidl-Trek Future Racing; Theodor Storm, now at Ineos Grenadiers; Henrik Pedersen, now at UNO-X Mobility; and Tobias Lund Andreasen, now at World Tour Team DSM-Firmenich PostNL.

“The team is often referred to as Denmark's absolute best junior team – and perhaps even the world’s best. Watching riders make the leap to the big stage and turn pro is a testament to the team’s dedication and hard work,”  says Peter Ebro, Project Manager Europe for Argon 18.

“Supporting local youth cycling has always been important to Argon 18, and it’s been a privilege to witness these talented young riders push their limits, chase success, and step onto the world stage.”

The team rode the Argon 18 Gallium Pro Disc in 2021 and 2022 and was one of the first teams to ride the all-new Sum Pro for both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. The bikes definitely made an impression on the riders, and in turn, the riders were able to offer valued feedback to Argon 18’s R&D team.

“Argon 18 was a tremendous resource during my junior years at Roskilde Junior,” says Patrick Frydkjær, now with Lidl-Trek Future Racing.

“The Argon 18 Sum Pro has served me well all over the world and helped me with my performance. Argon 18 was also committed to strengthening the sense of community on the team.”

“During our partnership, Argon 18 has delivered excellent and competitive bikes, which has been a crucial factor in our success,” says Micheal Kisum, Team Manager at Roskilde Jr.

“We have been extremely happy with the collaboration and have benefited from the high level of service and commitment that Argon18 has shown.”

In 2024, the team has collected multiple Danish National Championship titles on both the road and the track, in addition to national and international podiums in both one-day and stage races.
