THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results driven Account Manager to grow and manage our business relationships in Western Canada. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, and working in partnership with the Inside Sales Representative, Canada, the incumbent will be responsible for securing new dealers, onboarding them to the sales program, achieving sales targets and providing excellent service for the Western Canadian market.  

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the market, current dealers and potential dealer’s needs to establish a trustworthy relationship;
  • Identify, contact and schedule meetings with potential dealers to convert them into customers;
  • Clearly explain the sales program, including terms and conditions, offered to dealers and secure a sales order;
  • Conduct sales visits to increase sales revenue and achieve quarterly and annual budgeted targets;
  • Coordinate with the Inside Sales Representative to ensure orders are properly entered in the ERP or treated via the B2B site;
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Coordinate with the Inside Sales Representative to ensure service inquiries and warranty claims are treated in a timely manner;
  • Orchestrate events & demos in territory to help drive sales conversion at dealers;
  • Inform the appropriate persons (Product, R&D, Operations, Marketing, Finance, etc.) of customer feedback with regards to price, products, quality, service, logistics, etc.;
  • Maintain product features and technical knowledge up-to-date on various product lines and transfer this product know to retail sales staff;
  • Analyze sales data and collaborate with the CRO to define the best sales strategies according to dealer needs;
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to assist with forecasting;
  • Contribute to improving the internal processes to ensure quality service to customers.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Post secondary education in related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience working in B2B sales, bicycle industry experience an asset.
  • Strong understanding of the cycling market and customer needs.
  • Proven track record in managing and growing customer accounts.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, French language skills an asset.
  • Ability to travel and flexibility to adapt work schedule to attend events (evenings and weekends).
