A couple of weeks ago, Manon Lloyd from GCN took on the Gravel Challenge Blåvandshuk in Denmark. This race, part of the UCI Gravel World Championships Series, was a qualifying round for the 2023 UCI Gravel World Championships to be held this fall in Veneto, Italy.

Manon was aiming for a qualifying spot, onboard the Argon 18 Dark Matter. Things didn’t quite go according to plan as she had to face hellish Scandinavian weather: cold, wet and muddy.
